This project involved digital illustration and animation of Australian environments

Working on the World Hepatitis Day video meant translating complex health information into a story people could genuinely connect with. As the lead on the creative execution, I worked closely with the campaign team and health experts to understand the key messages, target audiences, and cultural sensitivities. Together, we distilled dense clinical content into a clear narrative that could be told visually in just a few powerful minutes, without losing accuracy or nuance.

From there, I guided the full creative process—shaping the script, developing visual concepts, and designing the overall look and feel of the animation. I developed hand-drawn, recognisable Australian environments to ground the story in a familiar context, helping viewers see themselves and their communities reflected on screen. Every design choice, from colour palette to character style, was intentional, aiming to reduce stigma, feel inclusive, and keep viewers engaged.

I also worked with producers and communications staff to make the video practical for real-world use—social media cut-downs, event screenings, and digital campaign hubs. This meant adapting graphics and key frames for multiple formats while maintaining consistency and impact. The result was a piece of content the team could confidently deploy across channels to educate, encourage testing, and support broader awareness efforts around viral hepatitis.
